After I graduate I want to get hired into the graphic design industry. I’ve always known I’ve wanted to go into the creative field, I just never knew what exactly. Graphic Design sounded interesting so I decided to give it a try, and ended up really enjoying it. Graphic Design itself is a title on its own, but it also has an umbrella of titles under it.
I think the job/title I would like to have in the industry is Book Designer, or work for Disney. I enjoy reading and think it may be very interesting, and I grew up around Disney. A book designer’s daily duties include creating concept visuals, developing typography, and working with illustrators and freelancers. They also layout pages, import and crop photos, and typeset tables and graphs. A Disney graphic designer’s daily work could involve creating visual assets for various Disney projects like park signage, marketing materials, website graphics, merchandise designs, attraction posters, and social media content, all while adhering to strict brand guidelines and maintaining the Disney aesthetic across different platforms, often collaborating with teams across different departments like marketing, park operations, and product development to bring ideas to life.

I think my dream job would probably be working for Disney, specifically their graphic design studios. I would probably also try to do some photography on the side, as it is something I immensely enjoy.
Links
I’m not going to lie, I don’t really use many Design Websites for inspiration at the moment. So I grabbed links to ones I keep seeing. I do enjoy the pop art, grunge, and the typography types of design. I don’t really know many designers, but I do work with a graphic designer, and I do enjoy looking at his work.
https://dribbble.com Dribbble is the first link I have included, it is a website were you can post designs, and collaborate with other designers. “Dribbble, a prominent online platform for designers, allows users to showcase their design work in bite-sized “shots.” Designers can upload images of their projects, offering a glimpse into their creative process. Dribbble fosters collaboration by enabling designers to connect with others, share feedback, and even find potential job opportunities.”
https://www.awwwards.com Awwwards is the second link I have included, it is a website were you can see website awards and find design inspiration. “Awwwards is a fantastic platform for recognising outstanding web design and development projects. As a passionate web design enthusiast, I find it to hold a special place in my heart as the ultimate source of inspiration.”
https://www.siteinspire.com SiteInspire is the third and final link I have included, it is a website that showcases some of the best designed websites. “SiteInspire (siteinspire.com) is a meticulously curated platform that serves as a digital showcase for the crème de la crème of web design. With a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality, SiteInspire offers a treasure trove of inspiration for designers and creatives alike.”
